At Dewar Attorneys Inc., we are well versed in the requirements for transferring of properties from deceased estates, where the property is sold from the estate or transferred in terms of the will.
We have done both sales and transfers ITO the will in Cape town, Johannesburg and Pretoria deeds offices, liaising with all 3 Master’s offices in order to do so and have established the necessary agreements with effective Master’s office runners so that documents move smoothly through their offices. Dewar Attorneys Inc. has the necessary infrastructure to be able to process transfers in all 3 of these deeds’ offices. Our conveyancers and support staff are in the deeds office daily to monitor and process lodgments, prep and registrations as transfers move through those stages.
This is partially achieved by ensuring that the documents submitted to the Masters office are correct and that the correct supporting documents are submitted with the application for endorsement of the power of attorney.
Likewise, transfers in terms of the will, where a certified copy of the will is required and possibly a usufruct is established for a surviving spouse or a half share is transferred, or the deed is endorsed in favor of the surviving spouse, whether there is a will or no will, all fall within our ability and experience in the sector of deceased estate transfers.
